​I used blend modes to blend my images, giving them a darker blend to my background. I used layer masks to remove the background of all my images after cutting them out with the object selection tool. I also used a clipping mask to put the ladybugs on the tree to give it the effect of them crawling on the tree. I used the adjustment layer to change the exposure of my background. Overall I cut out my images and blended all of them creating effects for each image.

My collage represents my identity. I feel like I have come from a trail of no worries because I was still young and then being lost in the middle of the trail going into darkness because of how scared I am to grow up. I used the big tall trees as a meaning of growth; growing old and starting a big chapter in my life where I must be independent. I used the roses to symbolize love, the love I receive and give back. The spider symbolizes fear of feeling like I am not doing enough for myself to feel proud of my achievements and just not feeling like enough to others. I added books onto the top of my head to symbolize stress and always having the standard to be perfect, get perfect grades, be perfect in school, get into a good college, and have a perfect future. It is all stressful to me because my future is dependent on it. Other images resemble peace around me as I accomplish everything I have dreamed of.

What was successful in my project is bringing together all of my images, I feel that they all fit together in some way. What was unsuccessful is I think that the images could have been blended much better. To solve this problem I would pick out different images with the same kind of exposure I am going for so they blend the same.

The level of mastery my project exceeds is a 4. I think I did great on my project. I love how it came out and I would definitely do it again.
