Animated Landscape

First, I created my vector landscape in Ai for my animation. I uploaded that in After Effects, and then I ensured all of my objects were in their layers. I started by adding position keyframes to my clouds and making them shift over. I did that for all of my other moving objects, as well as on my trees, I used the puppet pin tool to animate my trees and make them curve side to side. I did the same thing with the shadow of the big trees. I also used the ripple effect to animate the water and make it flow. Next, I precomposed my layers and added a key frame for both position and scale to pull in the viewer. Afterward, I added a brightness and contrast layer to make it look darker as the moon goes down. Lastly, I added a sound to my animation. I mixed a separate wind and wave sound to put it together and edit the noise separately.

The easiest aspects were making my landscape in Ai. Putting everything together and creating the whole midnight look as well as putting every subject in their own layers. The most challenging part of this project was creating some of the motions for the subjects. For instance, the waves were a bit confusing, but I overcame this by playing around with the settings and eventually getting the hang of the tool.
